Trick of the day

Multiplication by 11
There are two cases to easily do multiplication with 11 for 2 digits

Case-I: if the given two digit sum is less than 10 then
take the sum of the two digits and place it in between two digits
 eg: 72*11=792 (7+2=9) ,place 9 in between 7 and 2.

Case-II: if the given 2 digit sum is greater than 10 then
take the sum and place unit digit in between two digits and take the carry and add it to the number in 10's place

eg: 87*11 = 957 (8+7=15),place 5 in between 8 and 7,take the carry 1 from 15 and add it to the number in 10's place i.e., 8 (8+1=9),so it is 957..
